Founder
David is the founder of Blue Harp Consulting. He has spent the last decade in the renewable energy and energy storage industry, working on residential, commercial, and utility scale projects throughout Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.
David has led the development of approximately 150MW of energy storage projects in Alberta, advised First Nation organizations on renewable energy projects, and completed a Smart Grid Study of Canada for a European Federal Government. David has experience originating and developing numerous solar energy facilities at the distribution and transmission scale in both Canada and the United States.
Prior to founding Blue Harp Consulting, David worked at Saturn Power Inc., where he led development of the Highfield Solar Project, Saskatchewan’s first utility-scale solar project. While at Saturn Power, his portfolio also included developing seven utility-scale solar projects in Texas, Bermuda’s largest solar project, and several other solar projects across North America. David is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Associate Consultant
Nina is a Project Manager and Project Development Associate based in Calgary, Alberta. She has worked in various roles in the renewable energy industry over the past seven years, on solar and wind projects, with mandates ranging from greenfield development, field services, energy assessment, data management solutions, due diligence, and technical advisory for financing, acquisition, and divestiture.
In her recent role as a project manager, Nina leads and participates in several technical due diligence reviews of utility-scale (>100MW) wind and solar portfolios. Prior to her current roles, Nina worked at Saturn Power Inc.
supporting the project development team to establish company presence in Western power markets in Canada and the USA by researching and exploring a variety of project and program opportunities. With Blue Harp Consulting, Nina has supported our work with a First Nations owned renewable energy company and played a critical role in providing market research, financial estimates, schedules, and overall corporate strategy
development.
Business Development Advisor
Hart supports both client work and furthering Blue Harp Consulting’s expansion efforts as a business development advisor. He has over two decades of experience in the energy industry and close to a decade of experience in Canada’s environmental consulting sector and has made a recent transition to the renewable energy and energy storage industry. He has a vast network in Canada and has been a productive team member since joining. He currently supports our work with our clients, particularly in western Canada and is helping Blue Harp Consulting expand its service offering and our outreach to new potential clients.
Marketing and Business Development Manager
Joanne leads marketing and business development at Blue Harp Consulting, supporting the firm’s growth through client relationships, strategic positioning, and new opportunity development. She works closely with the team to strengthen Blue Harp’s market presence and position the firm as a trusted partner for organizations navigating complex projects and evolving markets.
Her work spans business development strategy, proposals, partnerships, and client outreach, as well as oversight of Blue Harp’s website, branding, and communications. Joanne brings a practical, collaborative approach to her role, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and long-term value.
